Jarvis AI Rebrands to Jasper AI

Jarvis AI Rebrands to Jasper AI

As of January 24, 2022, Jarvis AI has rebranded to Jasper AI!

Why did this happen?

Initially, the software was named Conversion AI. Soon after inception, the company decided to lean more into the robot / AI assistant aspect.

Jarvis AI was loosely based and named on J.A.R.V.I.S., Tony Stark’s AI assistant in the Iron Man movies in the Marvel Universe.

Unfortunately (or fortunately?), Jarvis AI’s content creation software got so popular that it started to attract attention from Disney themselves, who own the Marvel franchise.

Now, anyone who knows anything about Disney knows that they will go to great lengths to secure their IPs and brand image.

Many original members of the then Jarvis community knew that this could become a problem down the road.

Dave Rogenmoser, CEO & Co-founder of the now Jasper AI, had come to the decision that the ensuing fight with Disney would not be worth it.

Where did Jasper come from?

Since Jarvis (and subsequently any Iron Man references) needed to be discarded, this AI assistant software was in desperate need of a non-copywriting infringed name.

While keeping homage to the original Jarvis name, the team had brainstormed a list of names that would fit an AI personality.

An AI personality that is fun, exciting, knowledgeable while being professional, unique, and ‘futuristic’.

After many failed names, the team came up with ‘Jasper’.

What does this mean for the company?

Thankfully, a strong leadership team will allow the company to take this second rebranding of the company on the chin.

Current users of Jarvis will only have to update their bookmarks to the application to Jasper.ai.

All Jarvis affiliates will need to update their websites and ad copy to the new Jasper branding.

When will the rebranding take place?

The Jasper.AI website should be completely rebranded by February 1st, 2022.

If you see other Jarvis-related branding after this date, it is helpful if you reach out to the Jasper AI team at hey@jasper.ai with a screenshot of the offending branding.
